We're a team of three based in Portugal 🇵🇹 who started Rovee as a side project to solve our own problem.
Part of our team surfs across Europe and travels by RV between surf spots. We got tired of navigation apps routing us through mountain passes with a 3.5-ton camper, or sending us down roads barely wider than the van.
So we built what we actually needed: CarPlay-native navigation that understands RV dimensions, weight limits, and the realities of European road travel. No VC funding, no big corporation—just three people who love the open road and believe navigation should work for the vehicle you're actually driving.

The journey so far
The problem
After getting routed through one too many tight mountain passes in a 3.5-ton camper, we realized nothing on the market actually worked with CarPlay for RVs.
First prototype
Three friends started hacking together a routing prototype using HERE Maps. Tested it on surf trips across Portugal and Spain.
CarPlay integration
Finally cracked the CarPlay UI after months of iterating. Realized dashboards need completely different interaction design than phone screens.
Beta launch
